The gateway does not power up

Symptoms

  • The gateway does not power up when connected through PoE.
  • The status LED does not turn on.
  • The ethernet connector LEDs do not blink.

When using the provided power injector

  1. Check that the power source (power grid) is on by connecting an other device (e.g. a lamp) to test it.
  2. Check that the provided power injector is used correctly as stated in the setup guide:

    It will not power if the "DATA" side is plugged into the gateway.

If you've powerred the injector with the DATA+POWER side in a switch/router, you may have damaged the port of the switch/router.

When using a PoE switch

  1. Check that the switch is powered on
  2. Use passive PoE
