The gateway will receive LoRaWAN packets from the surroundings. In the general LoRaWAN architecture, these packets are then forwarded to a Network Server, or Cloud Service, that will route these packets further to the Application Server. Some famous cloud services are The Things Network or LORIOT.
The LORIX One can handle multiple configurations and doesn't force you to use a specific Cloud. To do so, there are multiple packets forwarder applications available in the firmware.
