Advanced networking

LORIX OS delegates network handling to Gnome's NetworkManager. NetworkManager is used by many desktop and server distributions and you will therefore find a lot of documentation and example over the Internet.

LORIX Manager compatibility

The LORIX Manager works directly with NetworkManager to simplify configuration and provide the Manager UI tools. It is generally done to be as permissive as possible toward the NetworkManager configuration. You can therefore edit the configuration and still be compatible with the LORIX Manager. However, you'll notice that only some configurations are supported by the Manager and the Manager UI to work with.
